Principles Behind the Protocol

To lose weight, an individual must consume fewer calories than he or she expends. However, to accomplish fat loss, other factors must be taken into consideration along with a maintenance program, which is different from the interventional program. The human body draws from three energy compartments to meet its metabolic needs:
  • Blood glycogen (stored glucose)
  • Muscle
  • Fat
