Transformational Practices

Research demonstrates that some practices – when done on a structured basis and as a disciplined part of one's daily routines – lead to transformation of some part of the person's life. Consider the following list of transformational practices when seeking relief, benefit or simple restructuring in some aspect of your life:
  • Meditation – Any recognized form of meditative experiences.
  • Writing – Journaling, poetry, creative writing, etc.
  • Reading – Inspirational or spiritual writings.
  • Prayer & Contemplation – Focusing on some spiritual aspect through internal thoughts.

  • Visualization – Guided imagery, goals, and life purpose or personal agenda.
  • Sounds – Healing sounds, chants, mantras, drumming and listening to or singing songs.

  • Water – Watching, sitting by or listening to water.
  • Breath Work – Forms of breath exercises.
  • Mirror Work – Daily dialogue with yourself in the mirror.
  • Mindfulness – Built through activities of daily living.
  • Creative & Artistic Activity - Drawing, coloring, crafts or creative activity with your hands.
