Policies

We are honored and privileged to welcome you as our client. As this is a massage therapy practice and not a day spa, we seek to build solid client-practitioner relationships by letting clients know what can be expected of us. Our primary goal is to reduce client stress and the first step is creating open lines of communication.

We hope you find our office space inviting and our staff courteous as we strive to make each visit a great experience. We also understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone's life. In our desire to be effective and fair to all clients and out of consideration for our treatment time, we have adopted the following policies. Feel free to tell us of any opportunity to improve as we greatly value your feedback.

For Your Comfort
  • Please respect the needs of others by turning off or muting your cell phone. Should an emergency arise, please keep any conversation as quiet and brief as possible or take it out of the office.
  • A parent or legal guardian must accompany children at all times.
  • Please refrain from personal fragrances.
  • Draping is the process used to protect and respect the client's privacy with regard to personal boundaries. Draping is required and is not optional. A towel or sheet will be used to cover a client's body even if he or she is wearing undergarments.
  • Contraindications are situations where massage is not indicated. Under certain medical conditions, massage or bodywork may not be advised. For example, if a client has a fever or an infection, massage could spread and worsen the client's condition. The therapist has the right to decline to do the massage.

Making An Appointment

Please try to make appointments several days prior to your desired date. It is best to make follow-up appointments before leaving your current visit. All appointments and changes must be made by phone or in person. No email or text messaging appointment changes will be honored.

Late Arrivals

Your appointment time is reserved solely for you. Arriving early allows you to complete the health assessment form on your first visit and enjoy some downtime. A late arrival may result in a shortened treatment session to assure that the next client is not delayed. If you expect to be late for your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so we can make any schedule adjustments.

Although we will try our best to accommodate lateness, we may not be able to complete the session in its entirety – especially if a client is more than 10 minutes late. The length of time you are late may be deducted from the service time. We reserve the right to determine if there is sufficient time to start a treatment depending upon how late you arrive. Please note that the client is responsible for payment of the scheduled service time, not the time given.

Cancellation & No-Shows

We respect your valuable time by doing our very best to ensure that your massage service begins on schedule. In order to do this, each session is booked in advance. All other requests for this time are refused. While we understand unexpected things happen, we ask that you respect our time as much as we respect yours and take responsibility for your appointments.

If you must cancel, please call 24 hours prior to your appointment. This allows others to retain our services. We except cancellations by phone only. If you do not call to cancel or you do not show up for your appointment, we reserve the right to charge you for the full amount of your scheduled treatment fee. This fee must be paid in full prior to your next treatment.

When You Should Cancel

A fever, infectious sickness or even a common cold are good reasons to postpone your massage appointment. Physical touch may feel uncomfortable and you may be contagious, especially in the first stages of a cold or flu. The more you limit your contact with others, including your massage therapist, the less you will spread it around.

Methods of Payment

Payment is due at the time of service. We do not send out invoices. If you will need a receipt, please let us know when scheduling so your paperwork will be ready.

We accept cash, check, MasterCard or VISA. If a check is returned for insufficient funds (NSF), a processing fee of $40 will be added to your charges and the full amount must be paid in cash prior to scheduling another appointment.

Tipping is optional and not expected.
